Relay for Life: More Birthdays

The theme of the American Cancer Society's fundraiser "Relay for Life" is "More Birthdays."

I love this theme. Birthdays are such an enjoyable and memorable milestone and I love how ACS is reminding us that this is what their work is all about.

ACS has asked me to put together a donation that they will auction off. In commemoration of this theme, I've prepared a "More Birthdays" themed gift:  streamers, balloons, cake, candles, and other birthday decorations, in a pink tub with cupcakes. 

My best friend who lives in Europe says this is a very American tradition and that only recently are they seeing birthdays with balloons and streamers! I can't imagine a kid's birthday without it!

sparklers and hopscotch

There are some French vases done in Daisy Chain Mosaic River by Amy Butler for Kristen's wedding in April. Kristen plans to put sparklers in them.

I photographed in front of Hopscotch, which in my honest opinion is the finest/cutest children/baby boutique ever. They've been there a long time. They have the cutest children and baby clothes, diaper bags, burp cloths, blankets, shoes, accessories, tu-tus. I swear that EVERYTHING is really cute. It makes you wish you were a size 24 months!

Once upon a time...

Once upon a time (ok, it was just a few years ago) one of my oldest friends from grammar school, Myra, mailed me a care package from London, where she was working at the time. Everything in it was from Cath Kidston, a place she "discovered" and thought I would like. Being introduced to Cath Kidston was my equivalent of discovering the Internet. As many of you know, I loooooove Cath Kidston and so many of her prints are on my favorite tubs.

Myra's back in London now...and she was walking through Notting Hill and when she stumbled across this she had to take pics for me! (She also says she saw Sienna Miller walking around with her dry cleaning. What a cool place this London is!)

Thought you might like this tub.  I think I'll give it to Jimmy to put in his shop and fill with drinks on ice for your buddies to enjoy while they complete the truck.  We'll be going to Cool April Nights soon.   Can't wait to see what magazine features you!  Still looking for a chevy pick up truck print...

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! This is my first post ever. I created this blog to showcase the fun tubs that my amazing clients order...just this month alone, I've done lobster tubs for a lobster feed, beer buckets for the Super Bowl, containers for a nearby facialist....the list goes on!  For Valentine's Day I've posted one of the favorites in my own home. Its a Medium Oblong Planter Tub in Cut Flowers to keep my flowery hand towels handy for my guests.
